Log Tab
Updated over a week ago

The Log Tab in TeraCopy provides a detailed view of past and current operations, allowing users to analyze transfer performance and verify actions. It consists of three main sections: the interactive speed graph, the list of runs, and the log display area.

Interactive Speed Graph

  • The speed graph at the top visually represents the data transfer speed over time, showing performance fluctuations during the operation.

  • Exploration: You can hover your mouse cursor over the graph to explore specific points in time, revealing precise transfer speeds and other related data at that moment.

  • This tool helps identify performance drops or peaks and analyze overall transfer behavior.

List of Runs

  • On the left side, you will find a list of runs, which are repeated operations within the current file list.

  • Each run entry logs the operation type, timestamp, and brief performance details, helping you track multiple tasks executed during the current session.

Log Display

  • Selecting a run from the left list will display detailed logs on the right side of the tab.

  • The speed graph on top will adjust to show the speed data corresponding to the selected run, providing a synchronized view of the operation’s timeline and the detailed log entries.

  • The log on the right details each operation step, offering a complete narrative of what occurred during the selected run.

This detailed interface allows users to monitor and review every aspect of file transfer operations, making it easier to identify issues, verify successful transfers, and understand the performance of each task.

Note: The features described above apply to TeraCopy version 4 only.
